Lipoma removal in Brockville
A lipoma is a soft, fatty lump under the skin. It is usually harmless. People ask to have it removed when it is growing, catching on clothing, or simply in the way.
I am Dr. C. Scott Graham, a general surgeon in Brockville. I remove lipomas at Ottawa Derm Centre (ODC Medispa) on Ormond Street, so you can be seen and treated in town.
Removal is a small excision under local anaesthetic. The lump comes out through a short incision. Most of the lipomas I remove are on the trunk, shoulders, arms, and thighs.
Very large or deep lipomas sometimes belong in a hospital operating room. If that is you, I will say so and we will use the hospital path instead.

Ask for Dr. Graham for lipoma removal.
Dr. Graham practices at our Brockville location. Consultations with Dr. Graham are $100 + HST.
Cosmetic Consultations with our Surgical Team are $100 +HST.
Important Information
A consultation is required for all new patients, and for existing patients who are pursuing concerns not previously discussed within the past 12 months.

Patients are considered “Existing” only if they have been seen within the past 12 months for the same concern they are booking for. If a treatment is booked without a prior consultation for that concern, the treatment deposit will be applied toward a consultation fee.
Consultation fees cover the assessment, discussion of treatment options and expert recommendations. If you proceed with treatment, the treatment fee is separate and in addition to the consultation fee. Although we make every effort to provide treatment in the most expedient manner, treatment may not be provided at the time of consultation and could require a separate appointment.

Questions
- Is a lipoma the same as a cyst?
- No. A cyst is a sac. A lipoma is a fatty lump. Both can be removed here if they are straightforward.
- Do I need a referral?
- No for ODC.
- Why not just go to the hospital?
- You can. That route needs a family-doctor referral and a wait. ODC is the in-town option when you want it out without that delay.
