Cyst removal in Brockville

Skin cysts are common. They can sit quietly for years, then get larger, tender, or in the way of a belt or collar. If you want it out, you do not have to wait on a hospital referral or drive to Ottawa.

I am Dr. C. Scott Graham, a general surgeon in Brockville. I remove skin cysts at Ottawa Derm Centre (ODC Medispa), in the same building as my office at 135 Ormond Street.

This is a planned excision under local anaesthetic. The whole cyst wall comes out, which is what keeps it from coming back. Most of the cysts I remove are on the body: trunk, back, scalp, and limbs.

If a cyst is red, draining, or clearly infected, it may need to settle first. If it is on the face or neck, ODC may book you with a different surgeon. I will tell you that at the consult.

Important Information

A consultation is required for all new patients, and for existing patients who are pursuing concerns not previously discussed within the past 12 months.

If you’re unsure how to book or don’t see your concern listed, please contact us at 613-369-8369 or by email at appointments@ottawadermcentre.com.

Patients are considered “Existing” only if they have been seen within the past 12 months for the same concern they are booking for. If a treatment is booked without a prior consultation for that concern, the treatment deposit will be applied toward a consultation fee.

Consultation fees cover the assessment, discussion of treatment options and expert recommendations. If you proceed with treatment, the treatment fee is separate and in addition to the consultation fee. Although we make every effort to provide treatment in the most expedient manner, treatment may not be provided at the time of consultation and could require a separate appointment.

For medical (OHIP) inquiries please connect with us by email: appointments@ottawadermcentre.com

Hospital surgery and endoscopy are a different path. Those go through my office at Unit 102, 613-342-5332, with a referral from your family doctor.
